Participation Requirements

Who can apply?

The programme is open to:

  • international students (5 places)
  • international PhD students / PhD candidates (8 places)
  • international academic staff holding a PhD (7 places)
There is no tuition fee. A total of 20 selected participants will receive full scholarships covering travel expenses and the costs of their stay in Poland. The scholarship will be settled and reimbursed after the completion of the Summer School, in accordance with the applicable programme regulations. (Check Country Eligibility)

Candidates must:

  • be a student, PhD candidate, or academic staff member
  • demonstrate interest in the themes of the Summer School,
  • have strong academic results and development potential,
  • provide proof of English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
Please note: within the framework of the AI Summer School 2026, financial support is provided exclusively for international participants, in accordance with the rules of the SPINAKER programme. Polish participants are welcome to apply; however, the costs of their participation in the Summer School are not covered by the project and must be borne individually.

Obligations after qualification Participants must:

  • complete the NAWA online form,
  • sign the participation agreement with the University of Warsaw,
  • submit the required “guest application” form,
  • take part in both online and on-site classes.

About the Organising Institutions

The Summer School is organised by the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw, in close cooperation with the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw. The programme is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) within a national framework supporting the internationalisation of academic education and research.

Both faculties are recognised research-intensive academic centres, actively engaged in internationally visible scholarship in the fields of management, economics, law, and public policy. Their joint involvement guarantees a high academic standard of the programme and provides a robust interdisciplinary environment for advanced research and doctoral-level education at the intersection of artificial intelligence, governance, and socio-economic transformation.
